Data safety and privacy were amongst the primary conference issues and a relevant presentation of T-Services expert Timothy Kushnir was of great interest for the audience. The presentation was dedicated to HPC systems management in general and providing data safety in particular. Timothy Kushnir highlighted peculiarities of special software development and implementation as well as techniques of providing safety of data storage and transfer on academic supercomputers.
The presentation caused a hot discussion amongst supercomputer developers and administrators, which was evidence of the problem urgency.
The international seminar-conference “Parallel Computing on Cluster Systems” has been held annually since 2001. The event’s mission is to highlight the current range of problems of using HPC systems and provide foreign and Russian specialists with an opportunity to share their experience and knowledge in this field.
