T-Services specialists held negotiations with a number of Forum participants and conducted a survey in order to estimate the demand for high performance computing in this field. In the course of the survey engineers and experts from different companies marked that the lack of computing resources posed a problem. Specialists of the academic sector expressed the same opinion on that point: in particular, post-graduate students listed the lack of computing resources amongst the reasons of the slow pace of genome code research. According to their words, extra supercomputing power would give severalfold acceleration to the process.
The Forum scientific program included work of 17 science and technology sections. T-Services experts took part in the Forum sessions dedicated to issues linked with the company operation-related areas: “Nanotech for Energy Sources” and “Mathematical Simulation in Nanotechnology”.
